WARD BOUNDARIES

1.08.010 Designated.

The ward boundaries of the city shall be as set out in Exhibits A, B, and C to the ordinance codified in this section. Specifically:

A. Ward 1 shall be the area of the city north of the line that starts at the intersection of NE 21st with the eastern boundary of the city, runs westerly along NE 21st and NW 21st to the intersection with NW Mast Avenue, runs northerly along NW Mast Avenue to the intersection with NW 22nd, and runs westerly along NW 22nd and the extension thereof westerly to the western boundary of the city.

B. Ward 2 shall be the area of the city south of Ward 1 and north of the line that starts at the intersection of SE 14th with the eastern boundary of the city and runs westerly along SE 14th and SW 14th to the western boundary of the city.

C. Ward 3 shall be the area of the city south of Ward 2. (Ord. 2003-15 § 4; Ord. 2001-09 § 2; Ord. 230 § 2, 1974)

1.08.020 Review of boundary lines.

The city council shall review the boundary lines of the respective council wards from time to time and, at the least, every two years, commencing with the month of January 1975, and shall adjust the boundary lines as necessary to maintain wards of as equivalent population as is practical. 1.08.030 Official map.

The city staff is directed to prepare an official map indicating the current boundary lines of the council wards. (Ord. 230 § 5, 1974)
