URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY

2.20.010 Findings.
A. Existence of Blighted Areas and Need Declared. The city council finds and declares that there exist within the city “blighted areas” as that term is defined and used in ORS Chapter 457, and that a need exists for an urban renewal agency to function within the city. (Ord. 92-111 § 1(A), 1992)
2.20.020 Created.
A. The city council shall act as the governing body for the Silverton urban renewal agency. When acting as the Silverton urban renewal agency, the council shall act for the agency only and not for the city. (Ord. 05-08 § 1, 2005; Ord. 93-125 § 1, 1993; Ord. 92-111 § 1(C), 1992)
2.20.030 Agency bylaws and rules.
The urban renewal agency shall, by resolution of the agency, establish such bylaws and other rules of procedures as it deems necessary or proper to carry out its lawful duties. (Ord. 92-111 § 1(B), 1992)
