13.10.010 Service – Interruption conditions.

Temporary shutdowns may be resorted to by the city for improvements and repairs. Whenever possible, and as time permits, the city will notify customers affected prior to a shutdown. However, the city is not liable for damage incurred on private property as a result of an interruption in service. (Ord. 15-05 § 2, 2015)

13.10.020 Use restrictions during shortages.

The council, by resolution, may adopt a water curtailment plan to be implemented by the city during periods of water shortage caused by drought, infrastructure failure (mechanical, electrical), natural disaster, or from any other cause. (Ord. 16-18 § 1, 2016; Ord. 15-05 § 2, 2015)

13.10.030 Service – Denial and discontinuance conditions.

Service may be denied or discontinued to any person who has left an unpaid utility bill at another service location until such previous bill is paid. Service may be denied to any person until restitution has been made for damage or any loss of revenue to the city resulting from tampering with or bypassing water meters or locking devices.
