15.10.010 Fire codes adopted.

The city to be in compliance with the Utah Uniform Building Standards Act Rules starting at Section R156-56-701 and Title 58, Chapter 56, Utah Code Annotated 1953, adopts the 2006 International Fire Codes, Standards, B, C, D appendices and guidelines at the same time the state adopts and updates. By state statute the city reserves the right to adopt additional codes, standards, appendices, guidelines and regulations to govern hazardous conditions to life and property and protecting property from fire or explosion. 15.10.020 Definitions.

“Corporation counsel,” as used in the International Fire Code, shall mean the attorney for Naples City.

“Jurisdiction,” as used in the International Fire Code, shall mean the boundaries of Naples City. [Ord. 10-124 § 15-10-020, 2010; Ord. 87-34 § 10-01-018, 1987.]

15.10.030 Adoption of fee schedule.

Fees applicable to this code shall be part of the consolidated fee schedule adopted by the city council. [Ord. 10-124 § 15-10-030, 2010.]

15.10.040 Repealer.

All former fire code ordinances or parts thereof conflicting or inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter are hereby repealed. [Ord. 10-124 § 15-10-040, 2010.]

15.10.050 Severability.

The provisions of this chapter shall be severable and if any provision thereof or the application of such provision under any circumstances is held invalid it shall not affect the validity of any other provision of this chapter or the application in a different circumstance. 15.10.060 Violation of chapter.

Any violation of this chapter shall be a class B misdemeanor. Each day that the violation continues shall be separate and an additional offense. [Ord. 10-124 § 15-10-060, 2010.]

15.10.070 Effective date.

The ordinance codified in this chapter shall become effective immediately upon publication or posting as set forth by state law. [Ord. 10-124 § 15-10-070, 2010.]
