PERFORMANCE BONDS1

2.110.010 Amount of bond.

(1) Before taking the oath of office and entering on the duties of their respective office, the following named city officials shall each give a bond with good and sufficient securities, payable to the city, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of their office and the payment of all moneys received by such officers according to law and the ordinances of this city in the following amounts:

(a) Mayor: $2,500.

(b) Council member: $2,500.

(c) Treasurer. See Section 51-7-15, Utah Code Annotated 1953, and Rule 4 of Utah Money Management Council.

(d) Recorder, clerk, assistant treasurer: $2,000.

(e) Administrative assistant: $2,500.

(f) Water clerk: $2,500.

(g) City judge: $1,000.

(h) Clerk (court): $1,000.

(2) The treasurer’s bond shall be superseded by any rules, regulation or directive of the state money management council when such rule, regulation or directive is binding on this municipality.

(3) The premium charged by any corporate surety for any bond required in this section shall by paid by this city.

(4) The bond required in this section may be a blanket bond. [Code 1997 § 3-8-19.]
