The secondary water department of Riverton City is hereby created. It shall administer the operation and maintenance of the Riverton City secondary water system. [Ord. 7-19-05-1 § 1 (Exh. A); Ord. 10-6-99-2 § 1. Code 1997 § 14-3-10.]
2.65.020 Water director.
The Riverton City water system shall be under the supervision of the city water director. [Ord. 7-19-05-1 § 1 (Exh. A); Ord. 10-6-99-2 § 1. Code 1997 § 14-3-11.]
2.65.030 Powers and duties.
It shall be the duty of the city water director to supervise, manage, operate and maintain the city’s secondary water system in accordance with the provisions of the city ordinances and the rules and regulations adopted by the city council. It shall be his or her duty to authorize all connections to the city’s secondary water system, to keep suitable maps and records of the system and of all connections, repairs and extensions made to the system. He or she shall supervise the maintenance of the secondary water system and any and all extensions or repairs thereof, inspect all connections made to the system, and shall make periodic inspections of the system and keep a record showing when each part of the system was inspected. He or she shall, upon request, report to the city council the condition of the secondary water system and shall furnish such information regarding the same as the mayor, city manager, and city council may from time to time require.
