The office of city prosecutor is hereby created. [Code 2000 § 2-6-1].

2.20.020 Powers and duties.

The city prosecutor may prosecute violations of city ordinances and has the same powers in respect to violations of city ordinances as are exercised by a county attorney with respect to violations of state law, including, but not limited to, granting immunity to witnesses for violations of city ordinances.
