2.55.010 Department created.

There is hereby created the public works department. [Code 2000 § 9-1-1].

2.55.020 Superintendent.

There is hereby created the position of public works superintendent who shall be the public works department supervisor. [Code 2000 § 9-1-2].

2.55.030 Powers and duties.

The public works department shall have charge of and care for the street, storm drain, and water systems of the city. [Code 2000 § 9-1-3].

2.55.040 City engineer.

There is hereby created the position of city engineer who shall have all the powers, rights, and duties conferred upon such municipal engineer by law. (Sections 10-3-903 through 10-3-907 and 10-3-917, Utah Code Annotated 1953.) [Code 2000 § 9-1-4].
