2.20.010 Appointment – Powers and duties.

(1) The Finance Director of the District is appointed as the Treasurer of the District.

(2) As Treasurer of the District, the Finance Director shall possess and exercise all of the powers, responsibilities, and duties of, and shall be subject to the same restrictions applicable to the Snohomish County Treasurer with regard to the District and the Snohomish County Auditor with regard to District financial matters, as currently provided by law or as the law may be amended in the future.

(3) The Finance Director shall post a $50,000 bond as surety for performance of duties assigned to that officer.

(4) The Finance Director is authorized and directed to recommend to the Board of Commissioners a financial institution to act as the depository for District funds and to provide banking and financial services to the District.

(5) At such time as the District establishes a relationship with a financial institution, the Finance Director is authorized and directed to take all actions required to transfer District funds and accounts to the designated financial institution.
