18.52.010 Air quality standards.

The emission of any of the following air shall be subject to the National Ambient Air Quality Standards:

A. Smoke and gas;

B. Dust, dirt or fly ash;

C. Noxious or odorous matter. (Ord. 84-335 § 10.01, 1984)

18.52.020 Noise level standards.

The intensity of sounds emitted by a use shall not exceed the levels prescribed by the Washington State Department of Ecology (Chapters 173-60 and 173-62 WAC). (Ord. 84-335 § 10.02, 1984)

18.52.030 Light and glare standards.

Any intensive glare or light associated with a land use shall be screened to obscure the view of this glare or light from any point along the property line of the use except during periods of construction. (Ord. 84-335 § 10.03, 1984)

18.52.040 Nuclear radiation standards.

The use, storage, transportation and disposal of all radioactive materials and radiation machines shall be subject to the provisions contained in “Rules and Regulations for Radiation Protection” issued by the Radiation Control Agency of the Washington State Department of Health. (Ord. 84-335 § 10.04, 1984)

18.52.050 Toxic chemical storage standards.

Any toxic chemicals shall be stored in containers and at locations which prevent leakage and are not hazardous to adjacent or nearby property. (Ord. 84-335 § 10.05, 1984)

18.52.060 Steep slope standards.

The following standards shall apply to areas with steep slopes:

A. Twelve to less than 15 percent slope: no more than 40 percent of such areas shall be developed and/or regraded or stripped of vegetation;

B. Fifteen to less than 30 percent slope: no more than 30 percent of such areas shall be developed and/or regraded or stripped of vegetation;

C. More than 30 percent slope: no more than 15 percent of such areas shall be developed and/or regraded or stripped of vegetation;

D. In areas of steep slopes the minimum lot size shall be adjusted to allow for the coverage standards in this section. (Ord. 84-335 § 10.06, 1984)

18.52.070 Flood hazards.

All construction shall comply with local flood hazard regulations. (Ord. 84-335 § 10.07, 1984)
