2.09.010 Appointment and removal.
Pursuant to the provisions of RCW 35A.12.090 of the Optional Municipal Code of the laws of the state, the city clerk shall be appointed by the mayor, and shall be subject to removal from such office by order of the mayor. (Ord. 5635 § 3, 2002; Ord. 2692 § 2, 1973; 1957 code § 1.06.030.)
2.09.020 Fees for public records – Collection.
The city clerk shall collect the public records fees as established in the city of Auburn fee schedule. (Ord. 5715 § 2, 2002; Ord. 3919 § 1, 1983; Ord. 2792 § 1, 1974; 1957 code § 1.48.010.)
2.09.025 Fees for copy of Auburn City Code book and supplements.
For the furnishing of a copy of the Auburn City Code book with the latest supplement, a fee as established in the city of Auburn fee schedule per code book. Supplements to the Auburn City Code book will be furnished for a fee as established in the city of Auburn fee schedule per copy. Fees shall be paid to the city clerk prior to the requestor receiving a copy of the Auburn City Code book or supplement. This section may be amended in the future by a fee resolution. A council person shall be allowed to have one copy of the code during term of office at no cost. (Ord. 5715 § 3, 2002; Ord. 4726 § 1, 1995.)
2.09.030 Deputy city clerk.
There are created two deputy city clerk positions which shall be appointed by the mayor to serve in the absence of the city clerk and shall be subject to removal from office by order of the mayor. (Ord. 3815 § 1, 1982.)
