6.24.010 Definitions.

“Continuous performances,” “amusement,” or “contests,” whenever used in this chapter, means any performance, amusement, or contest which fails to close to all participants and all other persons at 12:00 midnight and remain closed until after 7:00 a.m. of each and every day of its operation, and includes all so-called marathons, walkathons, or activities of a similar nature. 6.24.020 Admission charge unlawful.

It is unlawful for any owner, manager, or any other person in charge of any continuous performance, amusement, or contest to allow or permit any person or persons either as participants or otherwise to engage in or conduct a continuous performance, amusement, or contest within the limits of the city to which any admission, prize, or other emolument is charged or allowed either directly or indirectly. 6.24.030 Violation – Penalty.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon trial and conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine in any sum not to exceed $300.00 or by imprisonment in the city jail for a period not to exceed 90 days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
