DRUG INVESTIGATION FUNDS

There are created two special revenue funds to be known as the “drug investigation funds.” One fund shall contain forfeited proceeds and instrumentalities of illegal drug activities pursuant to RCW 69.50.505; the forfeited proceeds and instrumentalities of nondrug felonies pursuant to RCW 10.105.010; and any additional moneys deposited per authority of the city council and earmarked for use in controlled substances enforcement.
The second fund shall contain funds received from equitable sharing programs with the federal government related to controlled substances enforcement. (Ord. 1621 § 2, 2019; Ord. 1605 § 2, 2018).
3.52.020 Use of funds.
Funds contained within the drug investigation funds shall be used for controlled substances law enforcement consistent with RCW 69.50.505. Funds received from equitable sharing programs with the federal government shall be used for purposes consistent with the equitable sharing program. Proceeds from the drug investigation fund shall not be used to supplant preexisting funding sources for controlled substances law enforcement. (Ord. 1621 § 2, 2019; Ord. 1605 § 2, 2018).
