8.64.010 Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is to establish standards which set a level of performance relative to use of land and buildings, thus rating and limiting these uses according to the degree and intensity of dust, glare, heat, and radiation, instead of applying such limitations by names, processes, activities or products, and establish responsibilities for enforcement and address the procedure for abatement. (Ord. 1690 § 1, 1997).

8.64.020 Dust.

Standards for windblown or airborne dust shall be as referenced in city of Bothell design and construction standards and specifications. (Ord. 1690 § 1, 1997).

8.64.030 Exterior lighting.

Exterior lighting shall be consistent with BMC 12.14.240, Exterior lighting; provided, that any light fixture which causes direct glare and/or reflections into or toward public rights-of-way in a manner that causes a visual distraction to vehicles, bicycles, or pedestrians, as determined by the director of public works, shall be prohibited. 8.64.040 Glare, heat.

Any operation producing intense heat or glare shall be performed within an enclosure so as to completely obscure such operation from view from any point along the property line except during the period of construction. (Ord. 1690 § 1, 1997).

8.64.050 Enforcement.

Violations of this chapter shall be a civil code infraction and enforced under the provisions of Chapter 11.20 BMC. (Ord. 1690 § 1, 1997).
