17.34.010 Licenses and building permits—Issuance conditions and required information.

Business and occupational licenses shall not be issued unless the applicant has a valid certificate of occupancy as defined in this chapter. No building permit shall be issued for the construction, alteration, or relocation of any building, structure or part thereof unless the plans, specifications and intended use of such building or structure conforms in all respects with the provisions of this title. All applications for building permits shall be accompanied by a plot plan drawn to scale showing the actual dimensions of the building site, the size, use and location of existing buildings and buildings to be erected, and such other information as may be necessary to provide for the enforcement of this title. 17.34.020 Certificate of occupancy—Contents—Required when.

A certificate of occupancy shall be obtained from the enforcing officer before any building, structure or premises may be occupied and prior to the establishment, relocation or transformation of a use. The certificate of occupancy shall contain all the pertinent information deemed necessary by the enforcing officer in order to determine whether the building, structure or use is in conformance with the provisions of this title.
