7.10.010 Scope of the policy.

This policy applies to the Cascade controlled dikes: Dikes 1, 2A, 2B, 3, 4, 11, 12, 14, and 15, as depicted in the map attached to the resolution codified in this chapter, dated January 18, 2008, and labeled Exhibits C-2 to the APA. [Res. 2011-04 § 1].

7.10.020 No trespassing and enforcement.

The Cascade controlled dikes shall be closed to the public, other than access and use consistent with the 1958 easement. All other access and use is prohibited and is deemed trespassing unless expressly permitted by the CEO in writing. The CEO will post appropriate signage at and around on the Cascade controlled dikes and will continue to work with the Pierce County sheriff’s office and the city of Bonney Lake police department, which are the enforcement agencies at the Cascade controlled dikes. [Res. 2011-04 § 2].

7.10.030 Education.

The CEO and Cascade staff will strive to educate the general public on the restrictions on access to the Cascade controlled dikes through, for example, postings on the Cascade website and other public outreach. The CEO and Cascade staff will strive to educate the current owners with rights under the 1958 easement regarding the scope of their right to cross and recross the dikes to gain access to the waters of Lake Tapps Reservoir through, for example, direct mailings. [Res. 2011-04 § 3].
