8.35.010 Fund established.

A Castle Rock emergency medical services fund is established. [Ord. 95-09A § 2, 1995].

8.35.020 Administration – Purpose.

The Castle Rock emergency medical services fund shall be administered by the city clerk-treasurer. The purpose of the fund is to pay for emergency medical services and to acquire and maintain equipment and supplies for provision of such emergency medical services to the citizens of Castle Rock, travelers in the geographic area of Fire Districts Nos. 3 and 6, and other persons within said geographic area; provided, that any first or third party insurance carrier shall be billed for provision of the emergency medical services; and further provided, that needy donors to the aforesaid fund shall not be obligated to pay for provision of those services beyond the reimbursement provided by such first and third party insurers. 8.35.030 Needy donors defined.

“Needy donors” is defined to mean those individuals who are eligible for public assistance as described in RCW 74.04.005 as now exists or may hereafter be amended, and shall include senior citizens who are entitled to tax relief pursuant to RCW 84.36.381 et seq., and utility rate relief, RCW 74.38.070, and WAC 388-250-1250 as now exists or may hereafter be amended, and who have made a donation to the above-described fund in an amount to be determined by resolution of the Castle Rock city council.
