SIDEWALK OBSTRUCTION

12.10.010 Prohibited.

The sidewalk on Main Street between Broadway and Butler leading to Una Avenue may be used for display of information, goods, and decorations by the owners or operators of the facing buildings. However, no one may obstruct the sidewalk in such a way that there is not an unobstructed path of at least 44 inches in width remaining for travel along the length of the sidewalk; nor may any access to buildings or alleys be obstructed; provided, that on Bald Eagle Day and other town events when Main Street is closed to motor traffic and the street is available for pedestrian travel, the requirement of a clear 44-inch travel way along the sidewalk shall be suspended. Access to buildings and alleys may not be blocked in any event. (Ord. 385 § 1, 1998)

12.10.020 Violation – Penalty.

Violation of this chapter shall be a civil infraction punishable by a fine of no more than $150.00. Each day in which a violation continues shall constitute a separate infraction. (Ord. 385 § 2, 1998)
