10.21.010 State statutes adopted—Penalty for failure of a juror to appear.

RCW 2.36.170, Penalty for Failure of a Juror to Appear, as now in force or hereafter amended, added to or deleted from, is adopted by reference as part of this chapter. (Ord. 1688 § 10 (part), 1990).

10.21.020 Failure to obey lawful order prohibited.

No person, firm, or corporation shall fail or refuse to obey a lawful order of the municipal court. (Ord. 1688 § 10 (part), 1990).

10.21.030 State statutes adopted—Malicious prosecution.

RCW 9.62.010, Malicious Prosecution, as now in force or hereafter amended to or deleted from, is adopted by reference as part of this chapter. (Ord. 1688 § 10 (part), 1990).

10.21.040 Restraining orders.

A. Any person having actual notice of the existence of a restraining order issued by a court of competent jurisdiction who refuses to comply with the provisions of such order shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

B. The remedies provided by this section shall not apply unless restraining orders subject to this section bear the following legend: "Violation of this order with actual notice of its terms is a criminal offense and is also subject to civil contempt proceedings."

C. It is a defense to prosecution under subsection (A) of this section that the court order was issued contrary to law or court rule; provided, that no right of action shall accrue against any peace officer acting on a properly certified copy of a court order lawful on its face if such officer employs otherwise lawful means to effect the arrest.
