The annual salaries of Chelan County elected officials shall be as follows:

1.164.020 Autopsy stipend.

A monthly stipend in the amount of two thousand five hundred forty-three dollars and twenty-five cents may be added to the salary of the elected coroner or other employee of Chelan County for the purpose of compensation for the performance of autopsies. This amount may be adjusted annually. (Res. 2004-115, 10/4/04).

1.164.030 Election to receive salary less than established.

An elected official may elect in writing to receive a salary less than the formal salary established for their elected position and a payroll change form will be created for the calendar year unless and until the elected official gives thirty days’ notice of their intent to revoke the salary reduction.

Once the election is made and monthly salary disbursals are paid, the salary not received shall become the property of Chelan County and the elected official waives the right to claim these amounts at a future date. (Res. 2009-07, 1/12/09).
