1.316.010 Appointment.

Effective January 1, 2000, the board of Chelan County commissioners shall appoint one of its staff to act as clerk to said board, that the auditor shall transfer budget authority for said clerk position (salary and benefits) from the department of the auditor to the department of the commissioners, as well as all records and files incident to the clerk of the board. (Res. 99-180 (part), 12/28/99).

1.316.020 Duties.

Said clerk of the board shall attend all meetings of the board of commissioners and keep a record of its proceedings consistent with the requirements of RCW 36.32.110 and 36.32.140, as those statutes currently exist and as may be hereafter amended. Said clerk of the board shall further perform all duties formerly performed by the auditor as established in RCW 36.22.010(6) and 36.22.160, as those statutes currently exist and as may be hereafter amended, and all other applicable statutes prescribing the duties of the clerk of the board. 1.316.030 Claim filing.

Said clerk of the board shall be the authorized agent for the county to accept filing of all claims for damages pursuant to RCW 4.96.020 as that law currently exists or as may hereafter be amended. The identity and address are as follows:

All claims for damages against Chelan County shall be presented in writing to said agent within the applicable period of limitations within which an action must be commenced. (Res. 2006-187, 12/27/06).
