2.70.120 Protection of public records.

(1)    No person shall knowingly alter, deface or destroy public records of the agency.

(2)    Original public records of the agency shall not be removed from the possession of any county agency or its employees, except in the case of commercial copying.

(3)    The public records officer is authorized to promulgate policies to ensure, to the extent practicable, that requested records are not removed from the premises nor portions thereof removed by members of the public. (Sec. 12 of Ord. 2007-07-09)
