10.08A.030 Definitions.

(1)    “Emergency closure trip permit authority” means authority granted by Clark County authorizing loads to be transported when county roads are closed or restricted pursuant to Clark County Code Section 10.08A.070.

(2)    “Haul route” includes all arterial roads in the urban area, all collector streets in the rural area, and all urban collector streets with an average daily traffic load of greater than ten thousand (10,000) vehicles as more specifically described in Clark County Code Section 10.08A.040(2).

(3)    “Non-haul routes” include all roads except haul routes, including, but not limited to smaller collector streets, local and neighborhood access streets.

(4)    “Non-reducible load” means a load which the hauler demonstrates cannot reasonably be dismantled or disassembled. If the load can be reduced, even if that would require the use of additional vehicles, it is not a non-reducible load.

(5)    “Special permit” means authority granted by Clark County to transport loads authorized under RCW 46.44.041 on roads which are otherwise restricted because of their condition. (Sec. 3 of Ord. 1991-07-13)
