14.12.095 Amendment of Sections 108.1 through 108.4 of the IMC.

Sections 108.1 through 108.4 of the IMC are amended to read:

Violations

Section 108.1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish, equip, use or maintain any mechanical system of equipment or cause or permit the same to be done in violation of this code. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this code is guilty of a misdemeanor, and each person is guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion thereof during which any such violation is committed, continued or permitted, and upon conviction of any such violation such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars and/or a term of incarceration not to exceed ninety days.

The penalty provided hereinabove shall be in addition or as an alternative to any other judicial or administrative remedy provided for by law, including those remedies set out in Title 32 of the Clark County Code.

Upon being specially deputized by the Clark County Sheriff, the Building Official and his authorized employees may issue and serve criminal citations pursuant to this section.
