There is hereby adopted by reference Chapter 19.28 RCW entitled “Electrician and Electrical Installations,” which chapter is subject to special pamphlet publication, and of which adequate copies shall be maintained at the office of the city clerk for inspection and distribution. 15.08.020 Electrical wiring – Requirements.

The minimum electrical wiring required in all buildings and structures is as follows:

(1) In all wood frame dwellings and accessory wood frame structures, wiring or electrical installation may be made by the use of nonmetallic sheathed cable.

(2) For all other buildings and structures, except those specified in subsection (1) of this section, and every building where the use thereof is both residential and commercial, the wiring, repair to wiring, replacement of wiring, re-wiring and electrical installation to convey or use electrical energy in or about the building or structure shall be metal conduit, metal tubing, flexible metal conduit, surface metal raceway, or MC cable as called for in the National Electrical Code.
