COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

2.09.010 Office of the community development director established.

The city council establishes the position of community development director. Subject to confirmation by the city council, the mayor appoints the community development director. The community development director reports to and serves under the direction of the mayor. (Ord. 14-09 § 4, 2014)

2.09.020 Qualifications.

The mayor establishes the qualifications for the office of community development director on the basis of ability, training, and experience in the duties that he or she may perform for the city. (Ord. 14-09 § 4, 2014)

2.09.030 Duties.

The community development director may exercise all the powers and duties vested by state statute and by local regulations. In addition, the community development director is the director of the city’s community development department. The city council directs the mayor to create a job description for this position, keep it on file in the office of the mayor, and post it on the city’s website. The mayor may update the job description as needed. (Ord. 14-09 § 4, 2014)

2.09.040 Salary.

The annual budget adopted by the city council must provide for the salary for the position of community development director. (Ord. 14-09 § 4, 2014)
