UTILITY POLES

4.18.040 Poles on the north and east sides of streets.

No person, firm, or corporation shall erect or maintain poles on the north or east side of the streets or alleys within the city limits for the purpose of attaching wire or cable to distribute or transmit electric energy, communications, alarms, signals or any other purposes. [Ord. 2844, 1970.]

4.18.080 Right reserved for city.

The city exclusively reserves the right to erect or maintain poles on the north and east sides of all the streets and alleys of the city for the purpose of attaching wire or cable to distribute or transmit electric energy or any purposes. [Ord. 2844, 1970.]

4.18.120 Removal of poles – Cost.

It shall be the duty of the director of public works to remove or cause to be removed all poles erected or maintained upon the streets and alleys of the city in violation of this title and the cost and expense of such removal may be recovered in the name of the city against the owner or owners thereof by a civil action. [Ord. 2844, 1970.]
