1.20.010 Enacting clause.

The enacting clause of all ordinances is as follows: “BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Entiat, Washington.” (Ord. 231 § 1, 1979; Ord. 60 § 1, 1950)

1.20.020 Required reading.

All ordinances to be passed by the council of the city of Entiat shall only be required to be read at one meeting of the council, except as otherwise provided herein or as required by law. (Ord. 231 § 2, 1979; Ord. 60 § 2, 1950)

1.20.030 Signing – Posting.

After the passing of an ordinance by the council, said ordinance shall be signed by the mayor and attested to by the clerk-treasurer and shall be posted in three conspicuous public places in the city, one of which shall be at the City Hall. (Ord. 231 § 3, 1979; Ord. 60 § 3, 1950)

1.20.040 Franchise ordinances – Passage provisions.

No ordinance granting any franchise for any purpose shall be passed on the day of its introduction, nor within five days thereafter, nor at anytime other than at a regular meeting, except as provided in EMC 2.10.030, Special meetings. (Ord. 633, 2005; Ord. 231 § 4, 1979; Ord. 60 § 4, 1950).

1.20.050 Payment ordinances – Passage provisions.

No ordinance for the payment of money shall be passed at any other time than at a regular meeting, except as provided in EMC 2.10.030, Special meetings. (Ord. 633, 2005; Ord. 231 § 5, 1979; Ord. 60 § 5, 1950)
