2.15.010 Recital.
As more complex regulations have been placed on cities by state and federal laws, city legislative bodies must spend more time than in the past considering local land use issues, city liabilities and city expenses resulting from previously simple actions. (Ord. 379 § 1, 1990)
2.15.020 Meetings.
Meetings of the members of the Entiat city council may be held during the week preceding a regular council meeting, for the purpose of reviewing and gathering information on issues to be addressed at the upcoming regular council meeting. (Ord. 379 § 2, 1990)
2.15.030 Work sessions.
Work sessions will be limited to review of resource materials, meeting with educational resources, and general discussion of these in relationship to the issue to be dealt with at the upcoming meeting. (Ord. 379 § 3, 1990)
2.15.040 Session announcements required.
Members of the public may attend these work sessions, and the city council will be under obligation to locally post announcement 24 hours prior to these work sessions. (Ord. 634, 2005; Ord. 379 § 4, 1990)
2.15.050 Council action not to be taken outside of regular meetings.
No action may be taken on any issue by the city council outside of regular city council meetings. Therefore, these work sessions are for research and information gathering only, and no council action may be taken at these meetings. (Ord. 379 § 5, 1990)
2.15.060 Information review.
Review of information from such work sessions will be made at the regular public council meeting, when the issue is discussed, and before any action is taken by the city council. (Ord. 379 § 6, 1990)
