3.20.010 Definition and use.
The imprest checking account is a checking account separate from other city accounts to handle smaller miscellaneous and emergency expenses. (Ord. 635, 2005; Ord. 486 §§ 1, 2, 3, 1995; Ord. 421 § 1, 1993)
3.20.020 Authorized control of imprest checking account.
Maintenance of the imprest checking account shall be the responsibility of the city finance department, under the supervision of the city clerk-treasurer. City financial staff shall maintain a $500.00 balance in the imprest checking account. A city warrant shall be issued to the imprest checking account to reimburse the imprest expenditures. Such warrants shall be issued from vouchers posted to actual expenditure accounts of all expenses for which the imprest account is being reimbursed. The city clerk-treasurer and deputy clerk-treasurer shall be authorized signators for this account. (Ord. 635, 2005; Ord. 421 § 2, 1993)
