12.20.010 Title.

This chapter shall be known as the “comprehensive park ordinance.” (Ord. 400 § 2, 1992)

12.20.020 Definitions.

(1) The word “person” as used in this chapter shall include the plural as well as the singular and shall also include any group, firm, corporation or association.

(2) The word “park” as used in this chapter shall mean any public grounds under the control and supervision of the city of Entiat park department. (Ord. 400 § 3, 1992)

12.20.030 Park operating policies.

(1) The parks in the city of Entiat shall be operated in accordance with policies adopted by the council of the city of Entiat, under the administration of the mayor and supervision of the public works maintenance supervisor.

(2) Park operating policies, as adopted by the city council by vote, shall be in printed form, showing the date of their latest revision. These shall be available as handouts to the public. Revisions, as voted by the city council, shall be dated, attached to the ordinance codified in this chapter, and become a part hereof.* (Ord. 400 § 4, 1992)

12.20.040 Dates of operation.

Dates of operation are outlined in the park operating policies. During winter months, domestic water service shall not be guaranteed available for standpipes, RV hook-ups or restrooms. (Ord. 400 § 5, 1992)

12.20.050 Park rules.

(1) Park rules are printed within the park operating policies.

(2) Violation of Park Rules. Persons caught violating any park rules are subject to citation and fines, as the rules in the park operating policies are previously named as a part of this chapter.

(3) Also, violators are subject to eviction from the park grounds. Any person so evicted shall not be readmitted during the 24 hours following eviction, and may be banned from the park completely. If a person is banned from use of the park, procedures for reinstatement of right to enter or use the park will be provided with written notice of such ban. (Ord. 400 § 6, 1992)

12.20.060 Park fees.

(1) Fees for park services and use of facilities are included in the city’s annual fee schedule resolution. These fees are reviewed each year by the city council at budget preparation time, and are set for the coming year.

(2) Refunds. Prepaid fees are refundable only as outlined in the park operating policies.

(3) Deposits. Nonrefundable deposits are required for the first night’s fee. (Ord. 646 § 1, 2006; Ord. 400 § 7, 1992)
