BUILDING VALUATION SCHEDULE AND PLAN CHECKING FEES

15.12.010 Schedule adopted.

Building valuation, for the purposes of calculating building permit and plan checking fees, shall be determined by the schedule published in the Building Safety Journal of the International Code Council, as adjusted by the Washington State regional modifier. (Ord. 1397 § 2, 2006)

15.12.020 Annual update of valuation schedule.

The building valuation schedule shall be updated annually on April 1st of each year, using data from the most recently published edition of the Building Safety Journal of the International Code Council from the preceding calendar year, as adjusted by the Washington State regional modifier. 15.12.030 Plan checking fees.

Plan checking fees shall be established at 65 percent of the building permit fee. In those cases where identical structures are to be built from identical plans, the fee shall be established at 32.5 percent of the building permit fee.

This provision applies only to the second and subsequent structures to be built on separate lots provided the following criteria are met:

A.    Each permit requires a separate clear and readable print.

B.    No change, no matter how minute, will be allowed. This point is not open to interpretation by City staff, contractor, owner or builder.

C.    Permits for construction of second or subsequent structures must be taken out at the time the initial permit is issued. (Ord. 1397 § 2, 2006)
