13.16.010 Unlawful use, when.

It shall be unlawful within the geographical limits of the city for any person, firm or corporation to use water originating from the city’s water system for the purpose of washing cars, watering lawns or watering gardens at times specified by the mayor when in the mayor’s judgment an emergency exists because of a potential shortage in storage supply or source supply of water. (Ord. 134 § 1, 1970).

13.16.020 Mayor’s declaration.

Notice of the mayor’s declaration and statement of restrictions shall be published in the local paper at the earliest possible time at which time the restrictions will be in force unless users of water are given actual notice at an earlier time. (Ord. 134 § 2, 1970).

13.16.030 Penalty for violation.

Violation of any portion of this chapter is an infraction and subject to a penalty of $100.00 as provided in GHMC 1.16.010D. (Ord. 460 § 4, 1985; Ord. 184 § 2, 1974; Ord. 134 § 3, 1970).
