8.50.010 Restrictions during public fireworks displays on July 4th.

To avoid conflicts with the annual Points 4th of July fireworks display put on by the towns of Yarrow Point and Hunts Point (“Points 4th Display”), no fireworks of any kind may be used or discharged within the town of Hunts Point on July 4th between 9:30 p.m. and 15 minutes following the conclusion of the Points 4th Display. 8.50.020 Minimum distances.

No fireworks may be used or discharged within 20 feet of any structure, nor within 20 feet of adjoining property lines. All fireworks must be kept a minimum of 10 feet from other combustible material. [Ord. 530 § 3, 2017]

8.50.030 Supervision of fireworks usage.

Use or discharge of fireworks must be attended at all times by a competent, responsible person with immediate access to either a fire extinguisher or a hose connected to a water supply. [Ord. 530 § 4, 2017]

8.50.040 Fireworks debris.

Persons using fireworks are responsible for removal and clean-up of all debris associated with their fireworks. If any fireworks debris comes to rest on neighboring property, the person using or discharging the fireworks causing such debris is required to contact the neighboring property owner within 24 hours to obtain permission to enter the property to remove the debris and clean up or repair any damage caused thereby. 8.50.050 Dangerous or illegal fireworks activity.

Persons who observe the use or discharge of illegal fireworks or who observe others engaging in dangerous or reckless activities associated with private fireworks usage are encouraged to call 911 to report such usage or activities. [Ord. 530 § 6, 2017]

8.50.060 Permissible dates and times for discharge of fireworks.

Except as noted above, consumer fireworks may be discharged within the town consistent with the date and hour restrictions set forth in RCW 70.77.395(2). Nonconsumer fireworks (i.e., display fireworks and articles pyrotechnic) may be discharged within the town only as expressly permitted under state law and only upon issuance of all licenses and/or permits required under RCW 70.77.260(2).
