17.166.010 Violations.

A. It is a violation of this title for any person to initiate or maintain or cause to be initiated or maintained the use of any structure, land or property within the city without first obtaining permits or authorizations required for the use by this title.

B. It is a violation of this title for any person to use, construct, locate, demolish or cause to be used, constructed, located or demolished any structure, land or property within the city in any manner that is not permitted by the terms of any permit or authorization issued.

C. It is a violation of this title for any person to remove or deface any sign, notice, complaint or order required by or posted in accordance with this title.

D. It is a violation of this title to misrepresent any material fact in any application, plans or other information submitted to obtain any land use permits or authorizations.

E. It is a violation of this title for any person to fail to comply with the requirements of this title. (Ord. 3699 § 1 (Att. B), 2009; Ord. 3533 § 23, 2004)

17.166.020 Enforcement procedures.

It shall be the primary responsibility of the community development director under the direction of the city manager to carry out and enforce the provisions of this title. Other appropriate city officials including, but not limited to, the nuisance abatement officer, police and clerk shall share such responsibility under the city manager’s direction through proper legal channels. Enforcement of violations of this title shall be conducted in accordance with the procedures established with Chapter 8.24. (Ord. 3699 § 1 (Att. B), 2009; Ord. 3533 § 23, 2004. Formerly 17.166.040)

17.166.030 Penalty.

Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any provisions of this title shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
