1.16.010 Misdemeanors – Restoration and/or restitution for land use violations.

Any person violating any of the provisions or failing to comply with any of the mandatory requirements of any ordinance of the city is guilty of a misdemeanor, where a fine, penalty, forfeiture or punishment is not otherwise provided for. Any person so convicted of a misdemeanor shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $1,000 or by imprisonment not to exceed 90 days, or both such fine and imprisonment. For violations of any land use ordinance or regulation, the court shall consider, in addition to any fine or imprisonment, restoration of any private property adversely affected by such violation or, in the case of public property, restitution sufficient to remedy damage to or adverse effects upon public property. 1.16.020 Separate offenses.

Each person guilty of a misdemeanor as provided above is guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of the ordinances of the city is committed, continued or permitted by any such person, and shall be punished accordingly. 1.16.030 Civil violations.

In addition to criminal enforcement, any violation of any of the provisions of the LFPMC or any ordinance may also be enforced as provided in Chapter 1.25 LFPMC. The provisions of this chapter are not exclusive and may be used in addition to other enforcement provisions authorized by the Lake Forest Park Municipal Code except as precluded by law.
