10.20.010 Portion of State Highway SR209.

It is unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to operate same inside the incorporated limits of the city at a speed in excess of 25 miles per hour on the following described section of state highway:

State Highway SR209 from mile post 0.00 at the junction of State Highway SR2 northerly to mile post 0.11 at the north corporate limits, a distance of 0.11 mile. [Ord. 544 § 1, 1975.]

10.20.012 Alleys.

It is unlawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle on any alley in the city at a speed in excess of 10 miles per hour. The city public works director is authorized to post appropriate speed limit signs in city alleys. [Ord. 988 § 1, 1995.]

10.20.015 Portion of Commercial Street.

It is unlawful for any person to drive any vehicle or operate a vehicle at a speed in excess of 20 miles per hour on Commercial Street between Eighth Street and Third Street. The superintendent of utilities is authorized to post said speed limit in accordance with the laws of the state and the ordinances of the city. [Ord. 569 §§ 1, 2, 1976.]

10.20.017 State Highway SR2.

The maximum speed limit for vehicles on State Highway SR2 in the city shall be 30 miles per hour. [Ord. 895 § 1, 1992.]

10.20.020 Violation – Penalty.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter is guilty of a civil infraction and shall pay a monetary penalty in the maximum amount authorized by Chapter 7.80 RCW. [Ord. 1026 § 7, 1996; Ord. 544 § 2, 1975.]
