2.45.010 Created – Composition – Terms.

(1) Pursuant to the authority conferred by Chapter 41.12 RCW, there is created a civil service commission for the police department of the city;

(2) The commission shall be composed of three members, who shall be appointed by the mayor of the city, serve without compensation, and have such qualifications, powers and duties as are prescribed and required by Chapter 41.12 RCW;

(3) The terms of such commissioners shall be for a period of six years, staggered so that the term of one commission member shall expire on the thirty-first day of December of each even numbered year. (Ord. 840 § 1, 1956).

2.45.020 Adoption of state statutes by reference.

RCW 41.12.010 to 41.12.220, inclusive, three copies of which are on file in the office of the city clerk of the city, are adopted by this reference by the city, and all of the details and provisions of said sections are made a part of this chapter as fully as if set forth in full and incorporated herein. (Ord. 840 § 2, 1956).

2.45.030 Approval of prior actions.

All prior actions of every kind and nature taken by, or on behalf of, the civil service commission of the city for the police department, and all acts or actions taken by the appointing power of the city in conjunction with said civil service commission, be, and the same are, hereby approved, confirmed and ratified. (Ord. 840 § 3, 1956).
