19.54.010 Uses permitted.
In the commercial-warehouse district, C-W, no building or premises shall be used, nor shall any building or structure be hereafter erected or altered except for one or more of the following uses:
(1) Motor truck freight terminals;
(2) Warehouses; provided, that they are not used for the storage of highly combustible, inflammable or explosive materials;
(3) Automobile repairs where conducted entirely within a building;
(4) Storage or sales of automobiles in good operating condition;
(5) Printing plants and newspapers;
(6) Bakeries and creameries with retail shop or office in connection therewith on the street frontage;
(7) Shop for the repair or servicing of all sorts of household and personal equipment with retail shop or office in connection therewith on the street frontage;
(8) Lunchrooms;
(9) Manufacturing with retail shop or office in connection therewith on the street frontage and only if there is no excessive noise or vibration producing machinery used in the process; and the materials or methods used produce no obnoxious dust, fumes, smoke or odors; provided, however, that no manufacturing occupancies which process highly combustible, inflammable or explosive materials shall be permitted;
(10) Gasoline service stations;
(11) Bus terminals;
(12) Commercial off-street parking lots and garages;
(13) Storage or sales of farm equipment in good operable condition;
(14) Storage or sales of automotive parts when conducted entirely within a building;
(15) Other uses similar to any of the above, as determined by the board of adjustment;
(16) On-site hazardous waste treatment and storage provided such facilities are accessory and clearly subordinate to a permitted use and are developed and operated in conformance with state and federal regulations, including Chapter 70.105 RCW, as the same now exists or is hereafter amended. 19.54.020 Building site dimensions.
In the commercial-warehouse district, C-W, no building or structure shall hereafter be erected upon any lot or plot having an area of less than 6,000 square feet. (Ord. 1334, 1967).
19.54.030 Off-street parking space.
Every permitted land use hereafter erected or enlarged within the commercial-warehouse district, C-W, shall provide off-street automobile parking and truck loading and unloading facilities as required by applicable sections of Chapter 19.78 LMC. (Ord. 1415 § 14, 1969; Ord. 1334, 1967).
19.54.040 Caretakers’ apartments.
A caretakers’ apartment shall be allowed for any business within the commercial-warehouse district, C-W; provided the apartment is within the same structure as the business and is occupied by only the owner or his employee whose duty it shall be to care for, watch and guard the property, particularly at such times as the structure may not be open for business. The apartment shall not be rented or occupied by any party not employed in the main business occupying the premises. (Ord. 1334, 1967).
19.54.050 Signs.
Signs are permitted as provided in Chapter 16.13 LMC; provided, that all signs shall relate to the business of the occupant of the premises on which the sign is located and for which a current business license exists. (Ord. 2839 § 8, 2002; Ord. 1334, 1967).
