FIRE ZONES

15.10.010 Designated.
For purposes of enforcing the provisions of the Uniform Fire Code and the Uniform Building Code in the city, the following fire zones are established:
A. Fire Zone No. 1. Beginning at the intersection of Broadway and First Streets; thence east to the centerline of Third Street; thence north to the centerline of Kincaid Street; thence east to the west line of the Burlington Northern Railway right-of-way; thence northerly along said right-of-way to the centerline of Fulton Street; thence west to the centerline of the Skagit River; thence southerly along the centerline of the Skagit River to the extended centerline of Kincaid Street; thence east to the centerline of First Street; thence southerly along the centerline of First Street to the point of beginning.
B. Fire Zone No. 2. West Area: Beginning at the intersection of the west city limits and the east-west centerline of Section 19, Township 34 North, Range 4 East, W.M., thence east along said east-west centerline to the center of the Skagit River; thence north to the extended centerline of Cosgrove Street; thence west to the centerline of Wall Street; thence north to the north line of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 19, Township 34 North, Range 4 East, W.M.; thence west to the east line of that tract of land annexed by Ordinance No. 1712 which defines the present city limits; thence continue along the present city limits to the point of beginning.
North Area: Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of Fourth and Warren Streets: thence east 155 feet; thence north parallel to and 155 feet east of Fourth Street to the centerline of Cedar Street; thence east to the centerline of Sixth Street; thence north to the centerline of Fir Street; thence east to a point 933 feet east of the centerline of Fir Street; thence north 935 feet; thence northeasterly to the southwest corner of the northeast quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 17, Township 34 North, Range 4 East, W.M.; thence east along the south lines of the northeast quarter of the southwest quarter and the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of said section to the centerline of Eighteenth Street; thence north to a point 200 feet south of the centerline of College Way; thence east par-allel to and 200 feet south of the College Way centerline to the centerline of LaVenture Road; thence north to a point 200 feet south of the north line of the east half of the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 17, Township 34 North, Range 4 East, W.M.; thence west to the west line of said west half; thence south to a point 280 feet north of the centerline of College Way; thence west parallel to and 280 feet north of the College Way centerline to the angle point in Lot 43 of the College Heights Addition; thence continue northerly along the west line of the College Heights Addition to the north-south centerline of said Section 17; thence north along said north-south centerline to the centerline of Hoag Road; thence west to the west right-of-way line of the Burlington Northern Railway; thence north to the centerline of the Skagit River; thence west along the centerline of the Skagit River to the west city limits; thence south along the city limits to the centerline of that portion of the Skagit River located in the southeast quarter of Section 18, Township 34 North, Range 4 East, W.M.; thence southeasterly along the centerline of the Skagit River to the extended centerline of Fulton Street; thence east to the west line of the Burlington Northern Railway right-of-way; thence southerly along said west right-of-way line to the extended centerline of Warren Street; thence east to the point of beginning.
South Area: Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Division Street and the west line of the Burlington Northern Railway right-of-way; thence southerly along said west right-of-way line to the centerline of Kincaid Street; thence west to the centerline of that portion of Third Street extending south of Kincaid Street; thence south to the centerline of Broadway Street; thence west to the centerline of First Street; thence northerly along the centerline of First Street to the centerline of Kincaid Street; thence west to the centerline of the Skagit River; thence southwesterly along the centerline of the Skagit River to a point 200 feet west of the north-south centerline of Section 30, Township 34 North, Range 4 East, W.M.; thence south to the centerline of Hazel Street extended; thence east to the centerline of First Street; thence northeasterly along the centerline of First Street to the centerline of Milwaukee Street; thence east to the centerline of Cleveland Avenue; thence south to the centerline of Blackburn Road; thence east to the centerline of South Third Street; thence north to the centerline of Milwaukee Street; thence east to the west line of the Burlington Northern Railway right-of-way; thence southerly along the west line of said right-of-way to the centerline of Blackburn Road; thence east to the west line of Interstate Highway No. 5; thence northerly along said west line to the centerline of Lind Street extended; thence west to a point 400 feet east of the west line of the Burlington Northern Railway right-of-way; thence northerly parallel to and 400 feet east of said west right-of-way line to the west right-of-way line of Interstate Highway No. 5; thence northerly along said west highway right-of-way line to the centerline of Division Street; thence west to the point of beginning.
C. Fire Zone No. 3. The remaining areas of the city and any areas annexed in the future shall be included in Fire Zone No. 3. (Ord. 1877 § 1, 1977).
