Application shall be made to the Commis­sioner of the Employment Security Depart­ment of the state of Washington, for coverage of all eligible city employees under the Federal Social Security Act, as amended, and if said application is approved and coverage granted, then and in that event such coverage and the contributions shall be in effect from and after January 1, 1958. (Ord. 214 § 1, 1957).
