2.10.010 Office established.

The office of city attorney is established. (Ord. 602 § 1, 1984).

2.10.020 Appointment.

The mayor shall appoint a duly qualified attorney at law to the office of city attorney. The appointment shall be confirmed by major­ity vote of the council. (Ord. 602 § 2, 1984).

2.10.030 Duties.

The city attorney is an executive officer who shall advise the city as to all legal matters pertaining to city business. He shall conduct all legal proceedings on behalf of the city and per­form such other duties in the legal field as the mayor may direct. (Ord. 602 § 3, 1984).

2.10.040 Compensation.

The city attorney shall be compensated at a rate to be determined by the appointing author­ity. (Ord. 602 § 4, 1984).
