COMMUNITY LIAISON FOR HUMAN SERVICES

2.66.010 Creation.
The city of North Bend hereby creates the position(s) of community liaison for human services. The community liaison(s) shall serve in an advisory capacity to the city. (Ord. 1208 § 1, 2003).
2.66.020 Members.
There shall be no more than three individuals serving as community liaisons for human services at the same time. Community liaison(s) shall be appointed by the city council.
Each appointed community liaison shall have an interest in human services as evidenced by education, training, experience, or interest as demonstrated by involvement in community activities or service organizations. (Ord. 1208 § 2, 2003).
2.66.030 Term.
The term of office for each appointed community liaison position shall be no longer than two years. (Ord. 1208 § 3, 2003).
2.66.040 Duties.
The community liaison(s) for human services shall attend public safety committee meetings when issues concerning human services are on the agenda. Additional meetings of the community liaison(s) may also be held as often as deemed necessary by the liaison(s) themselves.
Community liaison(s) may adopt rules and regulations for guidance and transaction of business.
Community liaison(s) shall make reports and recommendations to the mayor, city council, and city administrator concerning human services issues including:
A. Development and assessment of human services needs in the North Bend community;
B. Determination of priorities of human services needs within the North Bend community;
C. For an advisory purpose, review city actions that may affect the availability and quality of the provision of human services within the city of North Bend;
D. Coordinate with other groups and human services planning agencies and organizations within the North Bend area;
E. Develop charitable giving priorities, guidelines and eligibility criteria. (Ord. 1208 § 4, 2003).
2.66.050 Removal.
Community liaison(s) may only be removed by a majority vote of the city council. (Ord. 1208 § 5, 2003).
