7.78.010 Prohibition against snowmobile operation.

No person shall drive or operate any snowmobile in any Omak city park, unless prior permission has been obtained from the city council for operation of snowmobiles during special events and said snowmobile is being operated in compliance with the reasonable terms and conditions imposed by the council for the safety of persons and protection of property. (Ord. 972 § 1, 1985: Ord. 832 § 3(b), 1980: Ord. 718 § 1, 1976).

7.78.020 Snowmobile defined.

“Snowmobile” means any self-propelled vehicle capable of traveling over snow or ice and which is steered wholly or in part by skis or sled-type runners. (Ord. 718 § 2, 1976).

7.78.030 Signs to be posted.

Signs shall be posted at the entrances to all Omak city parks, notifying the public of the prohibition against snowmobile operation in the park. (Ord. 832 § 3(c), 1980: Ord. 718 § 3, 1976).

7.78.040 Penalty for violation.

Failure to perform any act required, or the performance of any act prohibited, by this chapter is designated as a civil infraction and shall not be classified as a criminal offense. Any person, firm, or corporation found to have committed such a civil infraction shall be subject to the penalties as set forth in Chapter 1.16.
