2.29.010 Establishment and responsibilities of the Valley Regional Fire Authority.

The Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) was established on January 1, 2007, by the cities of Pacific, Auburn and Algona pursuant to Chapter 52.26 RCW, Regional Fire Protection Service Authorities. The VRFA is responsible for all services and support that were formerly provided for by the city of Pacific fire department. (Ord. 1656 § 1, 2007; Ord. 1328 § 3, 1997; Ord. 1286 § 7(3), 1996).

2.29.015 Governance of the Valley Regional Fire Authority.

The city of Pacific shall be represented on the VRFA Governing Board by the mayor and two members of the city council. The two council members will be selected to the Board pursuant to council’s rules and procedures for electing members to boards and committees. (Ord. 1656 § 2, 2007).
