2.42.010 Board created.

The mayor of Pacific is authorized to appoint five staff members to a regular nuisance board and will delegate his citation authority to members of the board to issue citations to properties found in violation of the Pacific Municipal Code and to further enforce the Pacific Municipal Code by court order if needed. (Ord. 1589 § 1, 2004).

2.42.020 Nuisance survey.

The nuisance board is directed to conduct and update a survey that lists nuisances and their locations. (Ord. 1589 § 2, 2004).

2.42.030 Nuisance survey – Prioritization.

The nuisance board will grade and prioritize the surveyed nuisances based upon their impact on the public, duration and other relevant weighting characteristics. (Ord. 1589 § 3, 2004).

2.42.040 Abatement procedures.

The nuisance board will use the survey to plan and apply abatement procedures that are aggressive towards the top of the violation list (municipal court citation or superior court complaint) and less onerous steps (voluntary agreement) towards less egregious nuisances on the list. (Ord. 1589 § 4, 2004).
