MEDICAL BENEFITS REVOLVING FUND

3.17.010 Created.

There is created in the city a fund to be known as the “medical benefits revolving fund,” as an imprest fund of the general fund. Said medical benefits revolving fund shall, in this chapter, be referred to as “the fund”. (Ord. 2223 § 1, 1990).

3.17.020 Purpose.

The purpose of the fund shall be to provide funds for the payment of:

(1) Medical and vision deductible payments as required by law, contract, or as provided as a benefit to nonunion employees and their dependents.

(2) Medical copays as required by law. (Ord. 2223 § 2, 1990).

3.17.030 Source.

There is authorized the transfer of $10,000 from the moneys of general fund to the fund. (Ord. 2223 § 3, 1990).

3.17.040 Maintenance.

The fund will be maintained as a checking account, in the bank that has the contract for the city’s banking services and all payments to officials or employees will be by check. The fund will be replenished by warrant or check in the manner of replenishing an imprest petty cash fund. (Ord. 2223 § 4, 1990).

3.17.050 Operation.

The fund shall be operated in accordance with part 3, chapter 3, section E on Petty Cash of the Budgeting, Accounting, and Reporting Systems Manual for the state as presently constituted or hereinafter amended. (Ord. 2223 § 5, 1990).
