13.20.010 Dogs restricted.

Persons with dogs shall not be permitted to enter the grounds, except that this shall not apply to personal service dogs. (Ord. 3004 § 2, 2012; Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 6(a), 1953).

13.20.020 Vehicle restrictions.

No vehicle other than for cemetery purposes shall be driven in any part of the cemetery except on the driveways laid out for that purpose. Automobiles shall not be driven in the cemetery at a speed exceeding 15 miles per hour. No vehicles shall be driven or parked in any part of the cemetery between the hours of sunset to sunrise of each day. Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished as provided in PMC 1.01.110. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 6(b), 1953).

13.20.030 Soliciting.

Soliciting for monument products and related work may be permitted on the cemetery grounds, subject to such conditions or consideration as approved by the parks and recreation director. Signs and advertisements may be posted at the cemetery in the time, place and manner as determined by the parks and recreation director. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 6(c), 1953).

13.20.040 Employee gratuities prohibited.

Lot owners, purchasers, visitors or other persons are prohibited from giving gratuities to any employee for services rendered. Employees accepting same will be immediately discharged. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 6(d), 1953).

13.20.050 Injuring structures and vegetation.

Picking flowers, breaking or injuring trees or shrubs, or in any way injuring any monuments or headstones is prohibited. Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished as provided in PMC 1.01.110. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 6(e), 1953).

13.20.060 Bills due city deemed lien.

Any bills due to the city for labor and materials supplied are a lien on the lot until paid. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 6(f), 1953).

13.20.070 Exceptions by city council.

The city council shall have the right to make exceptions from the foregoing rules when deemed advisable for the best interests of the property; such exception shall not be considered as rescinding or waiving any of these rules. Any waiver that may be made by the city council shall not be or be considered to be a continuing waiver and shall not bar the city council from enforcing the usual rules and regulations at any later time it may be desired to do so. 13.20.080 Lost and found property.

Lost and found articles are to be turned in to the maintenance office at the cemetery. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 6(h), 1953).

13.20.090 Rubbish deposit.

All paper, rubbish, dead flowers and floral pieces must be deposited by the person responsible therefor, in receptacles provided for that purpose. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 6(i), 1953).

13.20.100 Receptacles for flowers.

Flowers shall be in approved receptacles only. Each gravesite may have a maximum of two flower receptacles. Receptacles for flowers must be sunk level with the ground to ensure the safety of such articles and to facilitate the cutting of grass from the grave. Tin cans, glass jars, or boxes are prohibited. Proper receptacles may be purchased and installed by cemetery employees at the established price. The city reserves the right to remove and dispose of all nonapproved receptacles without notice to plot owners. Further, the city will not be responsible for anything placed upon graves that may be lost or displaced. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 6(j), 1953)
