14.24.010 Required.

It is unlawful for any persons to maintain any toilet or lavatory, within the corporate limits of the city, outside of a public sanitary sewer system, where the same is not provided with a septic tank constructed as provided in PMC 14.24.020, in accordance with a permit issued by the city and/or its designated public health agency. (Ord. 2384 § 1, 1993).

14.24.020 Construction.

Septic tanks shall be constructed according to specifications as amended from time to time, on file in the office of the city clerk and the city engineering department and/or its designated public health agency. (Ord. 2384 § 1, 1993).

14.24.030 Permit – State statutes adopted prior to ordinance.

Method 2 as set forth in WAC 248-96-090 under the terms of RCW 43.20.050 of the laws of the state of Washington and all other standards amending or augmenting the regulation, as the same are presently or in the future may be adopted by the board of county commissioners, are adopted by reference in their entirety and shall govern the issuance of septic tank permits for lots in subdivisions in the city filed prior to the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter. (Ord. 2384 § 1, 1993).

14.24.040 Permit – State statutes adopted after ordinance.

Method 1 of WAC 248-96-090 under the terms of RCW 43.20.050 of the laws of the state of Washington and all other standards amending or augmenting the regulation, as the same are presently or in the future may be adopted by the board of county commissioners, are adopted by reference in their entirety and shall govern the issuance of septic tank permits for lots in the city subsequent to the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter. (Ord. 2384 § 1, 1993).

14.24.050 Permit – Issuance.

Prior to the issuance of any on-site sewage disposal system permit within the city, as required and authorized under the terms of this chapter, the issuing health officer shall take into account the written recommendation of the engineering department. (Ord. 2384 § 1, 1993).
