10.12.010 Findings.

It is determined and found that the travel of vehicles having a gross weight in excess of ten thousand (10,000) pounds on, along or through 2nd Street between Idaho and Centre; Tipsoo Loop; or South Idaho Street poses an unreasonable threat to the safety of persons and damage to the roadway, and constitutes an emergency. 10.12.020 Restrictions.

A.    No vehicle with a gross weight in excess of ten thousand (10,000) pounds shall travel on, along or through 2nd Street between Idaho and Centre; Tipsoo Loop; or South Idaho Street, except as hereinafter provided.

B.    This chapter shall not limit the travel on, along or through any part of foregoing limited streets of the following: emergency vehicles; garbage trucks; school buses; city, contractor or utility equipment rendering city or utility services including but not limited to repairing city streets; and trucks transporting commodities, goods or material to or from properties served by the limited street.

C.    The city shall erect or cause to be erected and maintained signs designating the provisions of this chapter in each end of the portion of any public way affected thereby, and this chapter shall not be effective unless and until such signs are erected and maintained. 10.12.030 Violation—Penalty.

Any person violating the terms and conditions of this chapter shall be charged with an infraction and shall be punished by a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00). (Ord. dated 11/27/90: Ord. 288 § 4, 1989)
